Job summary

Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and related systems at our Roanoke facility.

You will work under the building maintenance supervisor to keep equipment and facilities in top condition, tackle repairs, and support a safe, efficient operation in a noisy, non-temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, security and fire alarm systems.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Upkeeps and updates lighting in the facility, including re-lamping, troubleshooting, installing, and repairing fixtures.
• Maintains and upgrades plumbing systems, including cleaning drains; installing and troubleshooting fixtures, and repairing drain pans.
• Performs general carpentry, including installation of partitions, drywall repair, and finish carpentry and painting.
• Performs masonry repairs, patches concrete floors and walls, and pours concrete bollards.
• Performs electrical work by installing commercial wiring; troubleshooting and repairing commercial wiring.
• Performs HVAC troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for completing scheduled and non-scheduled work as directed by the building maintenance supervisor, including but not limited to plumbing, facility electrical, carpentry, HVAC, flooring, roofing, masonry, repairs to loading docks, painting, repairs to overhead doors, cleaning, boiler repair and maintenance, restocking paper products, and recycling equipment maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conducts masonry repairing forklift damage, patching concrete floors and walls, and pouring concrete bollards
• Performs electrical work by installing commercial wiring; troubleshooting and repairing commercial wiring
• Performs HVAC troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
