Job summary

VisionQuest is seeking a Maintenance Manager/Specialist to ensure safe, functional, and clean facilities for children in our care. The role combines technical maintenance with a commitment to high-quality environments for youth and staff.

You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and landscaping tasks, coordinate with vendors, and maintain compliance with safety standards in a residential setting. Excellent attention to detail and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Cleared TB test, pass drug test, vaccinations, and background checks.
• CPR/First Aid and CPI certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and landscaping tasks.
• Coordinate with external contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect building systems and respond to requests promptly.
• Maintain inventory and track expenses; assist with budget controls.
• Ensure safety compliance, fire code, and security of the facility.
• Maintain exterior grounds, irrigation, lighting, and drainage.
• Conduct safety equipment checks and address hazards.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
