Role Overview
The Facilities & Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of Robo Optic’s facilities, utilities, and production equipment. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, facility operations, and infrastructure projects to support uninterrupted manufacturing and business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Facilities Management
- Oversee daily operations of manufacturing sites, offices, and clean/controlled environments.
- Ensure facilities meet operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Manage utilities including HVAC, electrical systems, compressed air, and water systems.
- Plan and execute facility expansions, upgrades, and layout optimization.
Maintenance Operations
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure high uptime and reliability of production equipment (including SMT lines, assembly, and test equipment).
- Manage corrective maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Implement CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking and reporting.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Maintain asset registry and lifecycle management for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Lead installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Operations for equipment improvements and upgrades.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Lead EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) initiatives and audits.
- Develop and enforce safety procedures, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and contractors.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of services.
- Oversee third-party maintenance, repairs, and facility services.
Budget & Cost Control
- Develop and manage facilities and maintenance budgets (OPEX & CAPEX).
- Track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
- Build, lead, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and facility staff.
- Establish clear KPIs and performance expectations.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7-10+ years of experience in facilities and maintenance management in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Experience with preventive/predictive maintenance programs and CMMS tools.
- Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (OSHA, ISO, or local equivalents).
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics, robotics, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of cleanroom or controlled environments.
- Experience supporting SMT or automated production lines.
- Lean Maintenance or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) experience.
