Job summary

Campbell Street Senior Living in Shenandoah, IA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department, ensure safety, and keep facilities in good repair to meet codes. You will schedule repairs, manage grounds, monitor expenditures, and work with residents and staff to provide a safe, comfortable environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a technical/trade school credential, plus 2 years in building maintenance and preferred supervisory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from a technical/trade school and 2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of building codes, and HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• OSHA and other safety requirements compliance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families and other facility staff.
• One year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the effort to have attractive and well-maintained grounds.
• Schedule repair/maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
• Provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations and condition of machines and equipment; develop preventive maintenance programs; recommend improvements.
• Review new product plans; discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers; requisition tools, equipment and supplies for operations.
• Monitor and contain expenditures.
• Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with facility policies and procedures, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
