Job summary

Philaymca in Pennsburg, PA is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to plan and perform repairs across buildings, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and HVAC. You will help manage pool chemicals, equipment and grounds, ensuring a safe, clean environment and a positive member experience.

Under general supervision, you will coordinate projects with staff, maintain equipment and records, and uphold a culture of member service excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, plus 3–5 years in building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC trades; certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, and use a computer; strong project organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform maintenance on walls, doors, HVAC, plumbing, and fitness equipment.
• Coordinate with staff to minimize disruption to members.
• Maintain grounds and operate lawn/snow equipment as needed.
• Inspect and maintain pool filtration and chemical balance.
• Keep vehicle maintenance records and perform routine inspections.
• Maintain neat, safe closets and supply areas; ensure proper labeling.
• Uphold a positive image and member-first service.
