Job summary

BGCT is seeking a part-time Facility Maintenance Coordinator to oversee maintenance of facilities, grounds and equipment at BGCT-owned properties in the Topeka area. You will plan, organize, and direct technical tasks to maintain safety and operation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in maintenance coordination, HS diploma (associates preferred), and knowledge of OSHA and building codes. This role requires hands-on work, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to handle after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance coordination.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety regulations (OSHA) and building codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to coordinate with team and vendors.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance activities by monitoring work orders, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Liaise with external vendors for repairs and parts, ensuring contract compliance.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; reorder as needed.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance through inspections and audits.
• Document maintenance activities with work orders, logs, and equipment histories.
• Perform special assignments and support facility safety issues.
