Job summary

Berner Food & Beverage is seeking a Facility Maintenance Lead to oversee the safe operation, maintenance, and improvement of plant utility systems, including boilers, chillers, and HVAC equipment. You will provide hands-on technical leadership, ensure accurate data collection, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

The role emphasizes data management, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Technical maintenance training or 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with boiler systems, chillers, or HVAC preferred.
• Ability to lead by example and develop the team.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Physical ability to perform tasks and lift.
• Must supply and maintain basic personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of facility utility systems to ensure reliability.
• Perform and oversee mechanical and electrical repairs per manuals and PM programs.
• Support technicians in troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct and validate daily water testing; ensure data accuracy and reporting.
• Manage large volumes of operational and compliance data for reporting.
• Promote safety standards and best practices across maintenance activities.
• Maintain professional presence and foster a constructive team environment.
• Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools and equipment.
