Job summary

HMR Veterans Services in Walterboro, SC is seeking a dedicated Preventative Maintenance Specialist to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, support Asset Performance Management, and utilize CMMS to track work orders and equipment history.

You will develop understanding of equipment components, schedule maintenance, maintain manuals/records, oversee CMMS entries, and participate in safety and quality assurance activities to keep facilities safe for veterans and staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be competent in using the Windows operating system and related software applications.
• Must be able to develop proficiency in facility CMMS software eMaint.
• Experience in a maintenance/plant-related position a plus.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Identify, perform and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as necessary to support Asset Performance Management.
• Utilize CMMS for continuing maintenance, operations and safety issues.
• Oversee CMMS software, including equipment identification, labeling and data input.
• Assign priority codes and schedules for preventive maintenance work orders.
• Schedule corrective and preventive repairs based on priority.
• Maintain maintenance records and inventory, participate in safety and quality committees.
