Job summary

Silencer Central is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Lead to oversee the maintenance and building operations of both corporate facilities and the CEO’s residence. This role balances hands-on upkeep with vendor coordination, ensuring HVAC, electrical, plumbing and safety systems run reliably while maintaining high visual standards.

The ideal candidate will be well organized, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines, and able to work independently yet collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of facilities management or construction experience.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to maintenance and grounds.
  • Knowledge of basic building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive mindset.
  • Strong communication and multi-project organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvements of corporate facilities (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Coordinate with vendors, negotiate contracts, ensure cost-effective services.
  • Manage exterior grounds, parking, landscaping and snow removal.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues.
  • Ensure fire safety, electrical panels and generators are tested and maintained.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance, licenses and insurance; supervise cleaners.
  • Oversee cleaning and upkeep of building exteriors and interiors.

As a key member of the Silencer Central Team, the Facilities & Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and building operations of both the company’s facilities and the CEO’s personal property. This unique role involves managing all aspects of the physical building as it relates to general maintenance and upkeep. In a similar way, this role also oversees the upkeep of the CEO’s residence and grounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in grounds or building maintenance, be highly organized, confidential, and be able to handle the diverse demands of both corporate and residential environments.

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions – Corporate Facilities Management
  • Facility Maintenance – Oversee the maintenance, repair, and improvement of Silencer Central’s facilities ensuring all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical etc.) are functioning optimally, while also maintaining high visual and cosmetic standards, preserving overall building appearance.
  • Vendor Management – Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and other services. Negotiate contracts and ensure cost effective service delivery.
  • Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the exterior grounds of the building including landscaping, parking lot, and snow removal.
  • Maintenance Requests – Respond to internal maintenance requests and fix broken items as needed or coordinate with the appropriate vendor to resolve issues.
  • Compliance and Safety – Ensure items such as fire extinguishers, electrical panels, generators, etc. are regularly tested and maintained.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – coordinate all vehicle maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date, including insurance.
  • Building cleanliness – Oversee and coordinate external cleaning company to ensure overall building cleanliness and address issues as required.
Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions – Personal Property Management
  • Grounds Maintenance – Oversee the landscaping and maintenance of the CEO’s residential property, ensuring the grounds are well maintained and aesthetically pleasing. - Manage pond maintenance ensuring that adequate water levels and chemicals are maintained.
  • Home Maintenance – Manage and coordinate all maintenance and repair tasks with the CEO’s home, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing electrical, and construction projects.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance – coordinate all vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs and ensure licenses and tags are up to date.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities management or construction required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks related to facility and grounds management, including lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
  • Knowledge of basic building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and maintenance best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactively takes initiative, proactive versus reactive.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and targets.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, departmental, and corporate goals.
  • Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts and large equipment for landscaping and debris removal.
  • Must have the physical capability to perform both indoor and outdoor maintenance in various weather conditions.
  • Dexterity required for handling tools and performing detailed repairs on both corporate and residential properties.
Work Environment:
  • The work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, including offices, mechanical rooms, and residential properties.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions while performing tasks outdoors, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
  • May encounter noisy conditions, dust, fumes, and the potential for hazardous materials while managing maintenance tasks.
  • Requires working around and coordinating with contractors, external vendors, and other service providers.
  • Occasional off-hours work may be required to address urgent maintenance or repair needs, particularly in the residential environment.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly pay is $27-35/hour and will vary based on experience and relevant skills/knowledge
