Job summary

TEC Leasing Inc. is seeking a Facilities Intern to help maintain the facility indoors and outdoors, including cleaning, painting, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping tasks as needed. The role reports to the facilities team and involves supporting day-to-day upkeep across multiple sites.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work well in a team. The role is hourly and includes full-time status with standard benefits where offered.

Facilities Intern

A Facilities Intern is responsible for the upkeep of the facility by performing various functions such as general plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, and painting to name a few. The following details are not definitive and subject to change based on organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting current facility staff with projects in various locations.
• Clean and maintain common areas of the facility including break rooms, restrooms, stores and warehouse.
• Maintain and perform routine inspections.
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects.
• Follow all health and safety regulations.
• Work with other departments when instructed.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

High School diploma or GED.

• Knowledge of hazardous risks with cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Strong work ethics & is a great team player.
• Able to prioritize tasks and follow procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related work experience
• Experience using dollies, pallet jacks and forklifts.

Physical Demands

• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
• Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, sitting, & constant movements of hands to operate tools/machines.
• Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Work is performed indoors & outdoors with regular exposure to cold, heat, noise, and movements of machine/equipment.

Salary Expectations

Rate $16/hour.
