Job summary

ChristianaCare in Wilmington, DE seeks a Maintenance and Inspection Technician I to perform routine inspections of critical building components and systems, ensure safety, and complete documentation for regulatory compliance.

The position requires a High School diploma, five years of practical maintenance experience, and hospital experience preferred; candidates should be proficient with hand and power tools and electrical test equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of practical maintenance experience.
• Hospital experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety and compliance guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine inspection procedures on critical building components and systems as required by regulatory agencies and or manufacturer requirements.
• Note any deficiencies identified or abnormal conditions found.
• Perform quick interventions or repairs to correct any noted deficiencies to ensure safe and proper operation and allow for an immediate successful re-inspection.
• Creates work orders for any failed inspection components to expedite a timely repair.
• Assists in inspection of new components and equipment as a function of initial acceptance.
• Collects data on new components and equipment requiring inspection and verify tasks and frequencies meet all regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
