Job summary

DOORWAYS is seeking a Building and Grounds Specialist in St. Louis to join our maintenance team. The role covers light maintenance, plumbing, electrical, painting, and make-readies, with responsibilities across safety, sanitation, custodial tasks, and grounds upkeep.

Ideal candidates are organized, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. A background check, drug test, and TB test are required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between worksites.
• Custodial work experience preferred.
• Basic building and maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety and sanitation: keep areas clean, report hazards, dispose of refuse per procedures.
• Equipment and supply functions: tidy, store equipment, maintain supplies.
• Building custodial and maintenance: daily floor care, minor repairs, maintenance requests.
• Grounds upkeep: clean entrances, trim shrubs, coordinate seasonal grounds work.
