Job summary

Safety-Kleen is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician to join our Dolton, IL facilities team. This role focuses on basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep to ensure safe and functional grounds and facilities.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with a first shift and a pay rate of $22 per hour. Comprehensive health benefits after 30 days, 401(k) with company matching, stock plan, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement are provided to support professional

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance; familiar with preventative maintenance, basic welding and electrical tasks.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and reaching.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and painting.
• Assist with basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs under supervision.
• Inspect buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Keep tools and work areas organized and safe.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and assist with events setup.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in building and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will assist with basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of the facility.

The Facility Groundskeeper for our Dolton, IL facility is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of facility grounds. This role ensures that all outdoor areas, including lawns, landscapes, walkways, and parking areas, are well-kept, clean, and safe for employees, visitors, and guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, power washing, painting and patching walls.
• Assist with basic repairs to electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems under supervision.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with setup and breakdown for company events or office reconfigurations.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Qualifications

• Plant maintenance experience in one of the following areas: preventative maintenance, installations, basic welding knowledge, basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to work on weekends and overtime;
• Ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test;
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including movements such as lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and the manipulating and handling of objects.
