Job summary

Lake Erie Tobacco Company is seeking a Maintenance General Laborer to support a range of hands-on maintenance tasks, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient facility environment. The role includes landscaping, basic repairs, waste handling, and collaboration across teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong safety mindset, can operate basic power tools and material handling equipment, and is capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. This is an on-site position with opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age with High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is desired.
• Familiarity with OSHA and basic safety regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily maintenance tasks to keep the facility clean, safe, and efficient.
• Participate in seasonal landscaping duties such as mowing and yard maintenance.
• Assist with snow plowing and removal during winter to keep access clear.
• Collect, sort, and dispose of trash and recyclables properly.
• Support basic plumbing, carpentry, and minor equipment repairs under supervision.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as needed.
• Join safety meetings and follow all facility protocols.
