Job summary

Nye Health Services is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain safe, functional spaces for residents and staff. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, and support grounds, furniture, and projects across our campuses.

Candidates should be dependable with hands-on technical skills, capable of working independently or in a team, and able to handle emergency requests. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance or facilities management.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Associate is responsible for performing general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure that all facilities, equipment, and systems are operating safely and efficiently. This role requires hands-on technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests from staff or residents in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with the setup, repair, and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
• Maintain safe and organized storage of tools, supplies, and equipment.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Document all maintenance work, repairs, and inspections accurately
• Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and general grounds upkeep as needed.
• Support special projects and facility improvements as directed by management.
• Support resident transportation needs as part of the maintenance role, ensuring safe and reliable transportation while delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to meet transportation responsibilities and safely operate company vehicles.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Flexible schedule, including the ability to respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
