Job summary

Kadima Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the general and preventive maintenance of the facility's physical plant and grounds in accordance with policy. You will ensure regulatory compliance and lead the Maintenance Service team to keep the environment safe and well-maintained for residents and staff.

The role requires at least one year of supervisory experience, prefer long-term care familiarity, and a proven ability in basic repair tasks such as

Qualifications

• One year of supervisory experience required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience in basic repair and maintenance such as plumbing, carpentry and painting preferred.
• High school Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the facility and department is maintained as required by regulation.
• Ensure that supplies are requested, approved and ordered according to policy.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining infection control, waste disposal and Universal Precautions policies and procedures to ensure that sanitary environment is maintained at all times and that aseptic and isolation techniques are followed by all responsible personnel
• Oversee Maintenance Service department employees on a daily basis
• Orients new employees to maintenance duties
• Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff by maintaining lawn and shrubs, snow removal, and picking up of litter and other debris
• Perform other duties as assigned.
