Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Department by planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating programs for safe and efficient facility operations.
• Ensure Life Safety compliance and oversee maintenance practices in the nursing facility.
• Review policies, procedure manuals, and job descriptions at least annually and recommend updates to the Administrator.
• Maintain appearance and safety of maintenance areas; inspect resident rooms or units for order, safety, and proper equipment performance.
• Identify and adopt new methods and principles to improve maintenance practices and efficiency.
• Plan and execute repair programs, new construction, and equipment installation as needed.
