Job summary

The YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a dependable Maintenance Coordinator to upkeep buildings, grounds, and equipment at our Largo/Greater Ridgecrest YMCA locations. This full-time role includes a benefits package and PTO, with duties spanning repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections to ensure a welcoming environment for members and guests.

You will troubleshoot issues, supervise volunteers, and coordinate projects while maintaining strong relationships with staff and vendors.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of maintenance, construction, facilities, or handyman experience.
• Experience using common hand tools and power tools.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Performing general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Completing minor plumbing, electrical, irrigation, and carpentry repairs.
• Painting, pressure washing, grounds maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Inspecting facilities and equipment to identify maintenance or safety concerns.
• Monitoring and completing monthly safety inspections and checklists.
• Maintaining maintenance supplies, tools, and an organized workshop.
• Coordinating maintenance projects and communicating progress with branch leadership.
• Building positive working relationships with contractors, vendors, volunteers, and staff.
• Supervising maintenance volunteers as assigned.
• Helping create a clean, welcoming, and safe environment for YMCA members and guests.
• Reporting any safety concerns, suspicious activity, or situations that may impact member or child safety.
