Job summary

Trine University is seeking a maintenance technician to manage assigned areas of the facility by performing general maintenance, inspections, and repairs of buildings and mechanical equipment. Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Experience performing safety inspections on facility systems.
• General knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety inspections of fire extinguishers and emergency lights.
• Conducts repairs on buildings and grounds as needed.
• Inspects exterior doors/windows and monitors boilers.
• Performs minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
• Repairs interior/exterior finishes and exterior roofing components.
• Performs preventive maintenance on electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
• Completes timesheets, work orders, and material slips.
• Communicates with site director and campus operations staff.
• Assists with campus snow removal and material ordering.
