Qualifications

Overview

Ready to kick your career into high gear? Virginia Tire & Auto is looking for a Facilities Maintenance to join our growing warehouse team. We are seeking a knowledgeable inventory professional with experience tracking and counting stock items.

Job Description

Work is fast-paced in an indoor/outdoor, customer-oriented environment. This position requires stooping, bending, and moving throughout the shop. An employee may lift up to 75 pounds and will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The role may involve lifting tires in the tire storage area with high shelves and road-testing vehicles. Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, prioritize, and track store maintenance requests (REST cases) daily, ensuring all cases are resolved efficiently
  • Perform regular facilities maintenance such as A/C, LIFTS, fluid exchange, etc.
  • Travel to stores for facilities and equipment repairs as needed
  • Transport furniture, equipment, parts, etc.
  • Complete daily REST case assignments
  • Assess repair tasks onsite
  • Oversee completion of shop maintenance projects
  • Prepare facilities for seasonal changes (Snow/Ice, sprinklers, etc.)
  • Manage inspections of equipment, safety, and utilities for preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe vehicle
  • Assist with cleaning and stocking at store locations
  • Handle special projects as required
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
  • 2-3 years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years experience in the automotive industry is a plus
