Job summary

The Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping the facility safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors in Orlando, Florida. Full-Time role offering $20–$23 per hour.

You will perform routine maintenance and repairs, assist with HVAC, emergency lighting, and fire protection systems, and may assume supervisory duties in the director's absence while delivering excellent customer service to

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.
• Ability to work independently while following direction and feedback.
• Knowledge of basic repairs and general facility maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, sanitation, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist and take direction from the Maintenance Director in daily operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other facility components.
• Assist with maintenance of HVAC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.
• Maintain the building and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
• Assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Director, as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and families, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
