Job summary

Wildwood School, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds across building trades. You will perform routine and preventive work, assist in safety programs, and help with event setup and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine and preventive maintenance as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Foreman and Facilities Director
• Performs heavy labor and semiskilled manual tasks involving a variety of crafts to install, repair, maintain, and otherwise care for buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Safely operates common hand and machine tools in installation, maintenance, repair, and finish work
• Performs recurring tasks such as carrying, moving, and delivering supplies and equipment
• Performs and assists in the maintenance of grounds and outside structures
• Assists in the school's Safety and Health management program
• Performs and assists in event setup, such as chairs, tables, AV equipment, and supplies
• Assist with daily cleaning of picnic tables and benches, and with general cleaning as required
• Assists with receiving purchased items and stocking
• Performs additional duties as requested

Description: The Facilities Maintenance Assistant assists with various maintenance and repairs of equipment, buildings, and grounds. Work assignments may be in any of the building trades.

Salary Range: $26.00 - $31.00/hour
