Job summary

Hawaiian Building Maintenance seeks a qualified Maintenance Apprentice to perform general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and structures in Downtown Oahu. The role includes 40-hour weeks, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays, and an hourly rate of $20.00.

You'll work under the Chief Building Engineer or Account Manager-Engineering and support property managers and vendors. The position requires hands-on maintenance experience, basic plumbing/electrical skills, HVAC,

Qualifications

• Must pass an H.B.M. prescreen
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required
• Customer service mindset and basic maintenance experience
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
• Execute basic plumbing and electrical tasks
• Maintain mechanical systems including HVAC
• Handle painting, drywall repair and grounds upkeep
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Access confined spaces and move items up to 75 pounds
• Create and manage work orders and purchase orders
• Provide friendly customer service to managers, vendors and clients
• Follow safety regulations per EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA
