Job summary

So Others Might Eat/ SOME is looking for an Apprentice/Service Technician I in Washington, DC to perform preventive and corrective maintenance at our facilities. Candidates should have a background in building maintenance and the ability to utilize their own vehicle and tools for work.

The role includes various responsibilities such as carpentry, plumbing, safety inspections, and more, with a weekly schedule from Tuesday to Saturday.

Compensation ranges from $19.46 to $20.58 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Required: Graduate of SOME's CET (or similar) Building Maintenance Service Technician Training.
• Must possess and maintain a vehicle and a valid Driver's License.
• Basic understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at SOME-owned facilities.
• Conduct inspections for compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with building maintenance tasks including carpentry and plumbing.
