Job summary

The North Slope Borough School District is seeking a reliable Facilities Custodian to perform semi-skilled cleaning and maintenance duties under supervision in District facilities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of related experience or training.

Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, read and interpret procedures, and communicate effectively with staff and the public.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret procedures, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Responsibilities

• Keep District facilities neat, clean, and safe.
• Assist in maintenance and storage of District property.
• Assist in restocking and expediting materials.
• Assist in implementing the preventative maintenance program.
• Report unauthorized persons or damages.
• Adhere to District policies and regulations.
• Attend District training as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
