Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician in Henderson, NV to support daily maintenance, preventative programs, and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building controls. The role includes coordinating contractors, inspections, and safety/compliance initiatives to keep the site in optimal condition.

You will assist with off-site warehouse operations, participate in safety audits, and help maintain inventory of parts/tools while supporting emergency response efforts.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities, maintenance, or industrial building systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and documentation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work as required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to off-site locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment (HVAC, pneumatic/hydraulic, electrical/lighting, pumping systems, building automation, fire suppression, safety systems).
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe operation.
  • Support upkeep of facilities and the off-site warehouse, including minor construction, painting, carpentry, and plumbing tasks.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in managing operations at the off-site warehouse, ensuring safety and maintenance needs are addressed.
  • Coordinate outside contractors and service providers (landscaping, snow removal, janitorial, construction).
  • Monitor and report equipment performance and maintenance needs.
  • Participate in facility inspections, safety audits, and compliance programs (HACCP, pollution prevention, fire safety).
  • Support the Preventative Maintenance Program by executing scheduled work orders and documenting results.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory, tools, and supplies for building maintenance activities.
  • Act as a first responder for facility emergencies and participate in safety and emergency response teams.
  • Assist with building control systems and security checks.

Job description

This role assists with daily maintenance activities, preventative maintenance programs, and repair work on a wide range of systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building controls. The Facilities Technician will also assist with contractor coordination, facility inspections, and safety and compliance programs to ensure the site remains in optimal condition.
