Trinity Metro is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. This role is responsible for coordinating the maintenance and repair of Trinity Metro facilities, grounds, and bus shelters. Under the general supervision of the Building Maintenance Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor ensures the efficient operation of all facility systems, including—but not limited to—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, ventilation, and general building infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the building maintenance staff, which consists of building maintenance technicians, HRP lot cleaner, Analysts, and Maintenance Leads.
• Oversees preventative maintenance of all Building Maintenance assets. Ensures on-time performance, performs quality control, and audits maintenance checklists.
• Schedules the day-to-day work of staff.
• Monitors the performance of the maintenance, landscape, and other contractors.
• Prepares and sets up booths, equipment, and materials for public relations events.
• Oversees building maintenance stock, non-stock items, general supplies, and tools.
• Coordinates and monitors personnel matters, including instructing, evaluating performance, maintaining standards, allocating and selecting personnel, transferring/promoting employees, assigning work, planning work of others, and acting on employee problems. Ensures that personnel decisions comply with legal guidelines and company policies.
• Evaluates performance, allocates and selects personnel, disciplines personnel
• Exhibits ability to effectively train others and possesses a strong customer service attitude
• Plan work and provide specific employee assignments
• Coordinate with staff to ensure ample coverage during special events and holidays
• Complete payroll and approve time off for all staff, manage staff to ensure ample coverage when there is time off
• Be available via email and phone, after regular hours, to address concerns with and provide directions to staff.
• Maintains confidential information.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings
• Prepares scopes of work, reviews bids, and assists in Procurement activities
• Assist with writing scopes of work for Facility Maintenance projects.
• Ensures compliance with all governing authorities, including TCEQ, EPA, Texas Railroad Commission, TDLR, and others
• Works with administrative staff, shipping and receiving, accounting, and others to ensure all invoices are paid
• Participate in company community activities to promote transit during off-duty hours
• This individual is responsible for supervising Facility Maintenance Technicians, HRP Lot cleaners, Analysts, and Maintenance Leads.
• Assists in supervising custodial staff when needed.
• Coordinates with and supervises third-party contractors/vendors, subcontractors etc.
• Complete incident reporting forms.
• Complete progressive disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
• Performs other duties, as assigned
  
  

Experience

A minimum of three to five years of journeyman-level experience in general building maintenance or related trades, with demonstrated skills in a combination of the following areas: electrical work, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and grounds maintenance.

Prior Supervisory Experience Is Preferred.
