Facilities & Logistics Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the Tharos Training Center facility and shooting ranges. This position performs day-to-day facilities, range, and logistics support functions, including inspections, coordination of vendor activities, documentation, and execution of maintenance and compliance-related tasks. This is a non-supervisory, non-management role with no budgetary or personnel authority.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general facilities support tasks requiring practical mechanical aptitude, including basic carpentry, minor electrical or plumbing adjustments, fixture installation, and equipment troubleshooting, consistent with training, authorization, and safety requirements
- Conduct daily inspections of shooting ranges, classrooms, common areas, and exterior grounds
- Perform routine facility checks related to safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness
- Coordinate vendor access, scheduling, and on-site activities
- Monitor vendor work for completion and report deficiencies to management
- Assist with range maintenance tasks including target systems, ventilation checks, and lane readiness
- Monitor compliance-related facility components including signage, storage areas, and safety equipment
- Maintain inspection logs, maintenance records, and compliance documentation
- Support hazardous materials handling and waste management activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Assist with logistics support including equipment movement, storage, and setup
- Escalate safety, compliance, or operational concerns to management promptly
- Support emergency preparedness activities and drills
- Perform light hands-on maintenance and facilities-related tasks as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- US Citizen
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in facilities support, logistics, maintenance, or related technical roles
- Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and safety standards
- Familiarity with inventory control and logistics processes
- Basic understanding of environmental, health, and safety compliance requirements
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and escalation protocols
- Effective oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- OSHA 10- or 30-Hour General Industry Safety Training (must be obtained within a defined timeframe after hire if not already held)
- RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Training (must be obtained within a defined timeframe after hire if not already held)
- Lead Safety Awareness Training (must be obtained within a defined timeframe after hire if not already held)
- Experience in a shooting range or training environment
- HVAC, electrical, or mechanical maintenance experience
WORK CONDITIONS
- Primarily Monday through Friday business hours
- Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs
- Work is performed in an active training and shooting range environment subject to interruptions
