Voya Energy is moving into a new headquarters in Hayward, California. We are hiring our first Facilities Manager to shape the space, lead move-in, and build the facilities function for growth.

You will work with every team—from R&D to fabrication—to ensure space is safe, efficient, and ready to accelerate our core technology. This hands-on role covers HVAC, utilities, safety, shipping, inventory, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in facilities management or related role, ideally in R&D/manufacturing hardware or industrial environments.
• Experience setting up new facilities or move-in projects.
• Hands-on with building and process systems; able to read MEP drawings; forklift cert a plus.
• Experience with hazardous materials and with EHS programs (Cal/OSHA, CUPA/HMBP, hazardous waste).
• Experience setting up shipping, receiving, and inventory systems.
• Strong vendor management: scope work, compare quotes, manage schedule and budget.
• Chemical or energy industry background preferred.
• thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and takes ownership.

Responsabilités

• Space & Team Support: plan, lay out, and adapt work areas, utilities and equipment for efficient, safe usage.
• Building & Process Systems: own HVAC, compressed air, ultrapure water, electrical and other utilities; hire and manage subcontractors; preventive maintenance.
• Safety & Compliance: help establish EHS program; own permits and inspections with city and fire marshal; keep site safe and inspection-ready.
• Shipping, Receiving & Inventory: manage shipping/receiving and hazardous materials; maintain inventory for materials and chemicals.
• Labs, Shop & Warehouse: build and maintain gas/chemical storage, shop equipment utilities, forklifts, and racking.
• Vendors & Services: manage contractors, service providers, landlord, access control and security.
• Planning & Growth: manage facilities budget; plan space for 2027 growth and operational needs.
