Middlebury College is seeking a senior Facilities Services Manager to oversee the Central Heating Plant operations, energy distribution, and campus mechanical systems. You will supervise a team of about seven hourly staff, coordinate with safety and regulatory compliance, and drive projects from planning through execution.

The role requires a BS in mechanical or electrical engineering (PE preferred) and extensive experience in operation, maintenance, and design of building systems, with a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or similar with managerial experience.
• PE registration and/or MBA preferred.
• Extensive experience in operation, maintenance and design of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Central Heating Plant operations and maintenance.
• Lead and manage ~7 hourly staff 24/7.
• Manage 10-year reliability plan for campus utilities and buildings.
• Coordinate with safety/compliance to meet regulatory requirements.
• Direct budgetary planning and contract services for HVAC and energy systems.
• Act as Manager on Call per rotating schedule.
