Parklands Care Center in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. The role drives the maintenance department to keep the facility safe, clean, and compliant with current standards.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and practical knowledge of blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, mechanics, hydraulics, and refrigeration.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of blueprint reading, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, mechanics, hydraulics and refrigeration.
• Knowledge of building codes and Life Safety regulations.

Responsabilités

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the maintenance department operations.
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner per applicable standards.
• Supervise safety, fire protection and sanitation programs and inspect areas weekly.
• Monitor equipment, tools and supplies; maintain inventory and readiness.
• Respond to emergencies; be on-call for on-site maintenance as needed.
