Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Lead to oversee facility operations at a Austin location. The role includes supervising daily tasks, guiding the team, and ensuring compliance with policies to keep buildings clean and safe for workers and customers.

The position involves operating cleaning equipment, handling chemicals, and performing janitorial duties as needed. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, with a focus on timely, quality work and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED or college degree is not required.
• Preferred: 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Preferred: 1 year of customer service experience.
• Preferred: valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow assigned work schedules and route cards as directed.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members.
• Maintain open communication between field employees and management; document client communications.
• Assist with daily and weekly work schedules.
• Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned building.
• Manage keys/access cards for the property.
• Report damaged, broken or out-of-service features/items.
• Oversee additional service requests (tag job) in the building.
• Ensure quality and confirm completion with Area Manager.
• Provide training for new hires per onboarding procedures.
• Complete and validate time records for regular or subcontractor employees.
• Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
