Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years general minor building maintenance repair experience or three years specific AACPS Custodian I experience.
• One year heating/cooling equipment experience preferred; two years cleaning preferred; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes minor plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, and custodial equipment repairs.
• Performs cleaning and inspects facilities and grounds for safety, sanitation, and security daily.
• Operates heating, air conditioning, and ventilating equipment safely to maintain interior climate.
• Opens, closes, and locks buildings and gates, or assigns tasks to subordinates.
• Maintains records of inspections, inventory, training, and equipment maintenance.
• Instructs employees in proper building services, supplies, and cleaning procedures.
• Oversees snow removal program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
