Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, in Alexandria, LA to perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs of electrical systems and facility equipment. You will diagnose issues, interpret blueprints, document activities, and coordinate with contractors to uphold safety and quality standards.

You will participate in on-call rotations, respond to emergency maintenance requests, and ensure compliance with OSHA/EPA regulations while maintaining a safe, reliable facility

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and facility equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve issues.
• Skilled in using hand and power tools, hoists, and material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and warranty claims.
• Capability to manage maintenance schedules, coordinate contractors, and track parts and expenses.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures to ensure safety and functionality.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and appropriate tools.
• Document maintenance activities, repair work, and equipment conditions accurately.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors to meet quality and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and support issue resolution during on-call rotations.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and company policies while maintaining a safe work environment.
