Job summary

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) seeks skilled maintenance Journeyst to repair and maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds. The role uses electrical, HVAC, and plumbing skills to support facilities and infrastructure, with occasional overtime and snow/ice removal.

Employees receive a $2,000 Hiring Incentive and must pass a DOT card check, possess a Class A CDL by end of probation, and maintain a valid Utah driver’s license. Shifts run 7:00 am–3:30 pm or 3:00 pm–1:30 am.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from a UTA approved Trade Program producing a Diploma/Certification in HVAC/Refrigeration or completion of an apprenticeship with Electrician or Plumbing Utah State License.
• Must pass a qualifying exam and own a standard tool set by the 91st shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and general maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Repair, install, and remodel physical structures and systems.
• Operate vehicles and heavy equipment as needed and complete daily work orders.
