Job summary

ABM Industries in Minnesota is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities, ensuring a safe, clean and orderly environment. The role supports event setup, light maintenance and general janitorial tasks, contributing to a positive experience for employees and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in commercial janitorial, facilities maintenance, event operations or a related position.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use common hand tools.
• Ability to follow written work orders, equipment instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Engineering, Janitorial, Security and Events personnel.
• Ability to lift and move event equipment and supplies, with a suggested requirement of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on ladders and remain standing or walking for extended periods.
• Basic ability to document work using a mobile device or computerized work-order system.
• Required safety and equipment training provided before independently performing assigned tasks
• Ability to work holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Event setup and teardown: assist with setup/teardown, move tables/chairs, arrange equipment, restock stations, inspections, post-event cleanup, report hazards, coordinate with teams.
• Light-maintenance duties: replace batteries, perform minor painting, replace HVAC filters, basic repairs, and adjust fixtures.
• Janitorial and utility duties: complete assigned cleaning tasks, restock/restroom care, floor-care support, transport supplies, report leaks or faults.
