Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform cleaning duties across assigned facilities in Minnesota. You will sweep, mop, vacuum, sanitize restrooms, and maintain cleaning equipment to preserve a safe, orderly environment for employees and visitors.

Schedule includes weekends and holidays to cover staff vacations and vacancies. ABM emphasizes safety, proper chemical handling, and adherence to company protocols while supporting events and meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial/custodial/cleaning experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins per company policy.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
