Job summary

ABM Industries in Minnesota is seeking a reliable Janitorial Cleaner to perform a variety of cleaning duties across assigned facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment for staff and visitors.

The role involves sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, restroom sanitation, waste management, glass cleaning, and reporting safety issues. Prior cleaning experience and a high school diploma are preferred; availability Monday to Friday 11:00am–2:00pm; pay is $17.33 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in janitorial/custodial roles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met.
• Empty trash and recycling bins and waste in accordance with company policies.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Maintain and store cleaning equipment and supplies properly.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
