Job summary

Capital Vacations is seeking an Inventory Specialist to count and balance stock, create price lists, and identify discrepancies on a weekly basis. You will track inventory levels across products, equipment, and supplies to prevent losses and ensure accuracy.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in inventory roles, strong organizational and time-management skills, and proficiency with word processors, databases, and spreadsheets. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counting and balancing merchandise, making price lists of products in stock by scanning them with a bar code reader/writer.
• Identify discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week so they can be prevented from happening again.
• Tracking all inventory to ensure our company maintains proper inventory levels for products, equipment and supplies as needed.
• Tracking inventory maintenance
• Controlling flows of equipment and supplies
• Reporting to management and advising on process improvements
• Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures
• Maintaining inventory storage space in the store's warehouse
• Training store staff in stocking procedures and product dating methods
• Planning store warehouse space usage
• Communicating with store management about any inventory issues
• Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment
• General Statement - Performs the job assigned, complying with Company policies and procedures, business code of ethics, FLSA regulations, and all applicable laws, as well as ensuring confidentiality, reliability, quality, and productivity.
