Job summary

Bluejack National is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to direct the institutional housekeeping program and ensure the establishment remains clean, orderly, and attractive. The role involves hands-on leadership of staff and coordination with management on upkeep strategies.

You will establish standards, plan schedules, inspect facilities, and recommend repairs or reallocations. Strong reading, writing, and math skills are required to manage reporting and budgets effectively.

Qualifications

• Hospitality degree required.
• 2-3 years of housekeeping experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Responsibilities

• Establishes standards and procedures for housekeeping staff.
• Plans work schedules to ensure adequate services.
• Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of establishment.
• Submits to management recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, relocation of equipment, and reallocation of space.
• Periodically inventories supplies and equipment.
• Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
• Selects and purchases new furnishings.
• Other duties as assigned.
