Job summary

StoryPoint Group is seeking a Maintenance and Housekeeping Manager to oversee day-to-day personnel management of maintenance and housekeeping staff across commercial, senior living, and multi-family sites. You will organize cleaning operations and collaborate with other departments to ensure service quality.

This role requires strong supervisory skills, leadership, and the ability to train staff on company policies and responsibilities while enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership abilities and ability to train staff on policies and responsibilities.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and problem solving.
• Knowledge of safety standards and precautions.
• Ability to enforce security/safety regulations and work under pressure.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and schedule keeping.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and housekeeping staff by determining workloads and schedules.
• Evaluates staff and makes hiring or termination recommendations; motivates staff to provide quality service.
• Maintains facilities in accordance with local and state building codes.
• Manages cost, methods and staffing; adheres to budgets and work plans.
• Prepares service estimates and maintains project budgets; reports on work orders.
• Develops and implements policies with President to meet departmental goals.
• Negotiates sub-contractor contracts and inspects work for safety.
• Ensures preventative maintenance is carried out and records are maintained.
• Investigates complaints and maintains relationships with staff, vendors, and public.
• Strives for continual improvement of the organization.
