Job summary

Sugar Creek Packing Co. is seeking a groundskeeping professional to perform daily landscaping duties at SugarCreek locations. You will cut grass, water plants, trim vegetation and support larger landscaping projects under theFacilities Manager guidance.

Responsibilities include operating mowers, trimmers, edgers, and tractors, maintaining equipment, and following safety procedures. Outdoor work, travel to other locations, and adherence to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ year landscaping/grounds keeping experience preferred.
• Able to operate lawn tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Mow grass regularly using riding mower or tractor equipment.
• Operate string trimmer and edger to maintain neat outdoor areas.
• Maintain and clean all landscaping equipment and review safety features.
• Perform routine maintenance on facilities and grounds, indoors and outdoors.
• Assist Facilities Manager on landscaping projects and safety training.
• Water lawns and plants daily, ensuring even coverage.
• Spread mulch, plant food and fertilizer as needed.
• Remove weeds, leaves and dead plants regularly.
• Use leaf blower to clear walkways after mowing.
• Apply pesticides to protect plants and health of grounds.
• Keep landscaping design and plant life trimmed and pruned.
• Plant new flowers and shrubs as directed.
• Assist with snow removal for parking areas when required.
• Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
