Job summary

BUILD, Inc. (Broader Urban Involvement and Leadership Development) on Chicago's West Side is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker for the 2nd shift (25 hours per week, part-time, non-exempt).

The MW will support the facilities team by cleaning, setting up spaces, and performing light maintenance to keep programs and events safe and welcoming. Requirements include two years of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings,

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and interact professionally with staff and guests.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early morning, late evening and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environment for participants and staff.
• Perform interior and exterior cleaning and light maintenance.
• Set up for programs and rentals, as part of the maintenance team.
• Receive, store, and distribute custodial supplies.
• Assist with minor building repairs under supervision.
• Shovel snow and perform landscaping tasks as assigned.
