Job summary

BUILD, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker (MW) for the 2nd shift on a part-time schedule of 25 hours per week in Chicago. The role involves cleaning, light maintenance, and setting up spaces for programs and rentals under the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities include keeping interior and exterior areas clean, handling custodial supplies, and supporting building repairs as needed. The position requires a valid driver's license and flexibility for varied hours.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including early morning, late evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the facilities and grounds to provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming atmosphere.
• Clean interior and exterior areas and assist with light maintenance.
• Set up building for programs and rentals as assigned.
• Receive, store, and distribute custodial supplies.
• Assist with minor repairs under the Facilities Manager.
• Shovel snow and de-ice walkways and perform landscaping tasks.
• Maintain effective two-way communication with staff and supervisor.
• Follow BUILD policies and safety guidelines.
