Job summary

Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Facilities Property Trainee to support maintenance across recreation areas, dam reservations, and other properties at Chickamauga Hydro. The role requires two+ years in grounds upkeep, CDL A/B endorsement, and a safety-conscious approach.

Work includes operating multiple vehicle classes and maintaining water/sewer systems. Relocation not offered; hiring through the Facilities Operations and South Central Property Maintenance

Qualifications

Must have two or more years experience in cleaning buildings and upkeep of grounds.
Must hold a valid license for the operation of vehicles assigned to the work location.
Must be able to read road and equipment warnings, directions, safety manuals, data sheets, and instructions for chemicals, first aid manuals, and maps.

Responsibilities

Operate light, medium, and heavy duty trucks to transport crew, equipment, and materials.
Towing trailers and operating farm-type and grounds equipment as required.
Perform maintenance of roads, grounds, and facilities including irrigation systems and water/sewer components.
Repair and maintain campground sites, trails, and landscape planting areas.
Assist in safety discussions, trainings, and on-the-job instruction.
