Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Sound working knowledge of basic mechanical equipment functions
• Ability to make general repairs as required
• Ability to foster positive staff and participant relations
• CPR and First Aid required within 30 days of employment
• Must pass a criminal background check and be able to work with children under YMCA guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Director in maintaining facilities and grounds
• Remove and dispose of materials as scheduled
• Assist in preventive maintenance of equipment
• Maintain grounds appearance including mowing and landscaping
• Assist in repairs of equipment and facilities
• Follow YMCA and OSHA/MSDS standards for substances and materials
• Provide courteous customer service to members and staff
• Support Annual Campaign fundraising program for the YMCA
• Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude with staff and program participants
