Job summary

The Glen Ridge Board of Education is seeking a skilled Buildings and Grounds Maintenance worker to perform a broad range of upkeep and repair tasks at district facilities.

Responsibilities include plumbing, electrical, lock work, HVAC, carpentry, painting, masonry, landscaping, and equipment design, with duties expanding as needed; applicants must have 3–5 years in a trade, be able to operate maintenance equipment, and pass a background check with U.S. citizenship or legal status verification.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.
• 3 to 5 years experience in a trade listed below.
• Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.
• Black Seal License (If Necessary).

Responsibilities

• Miscellaneous general maintenance and repairs of buildings, equipment and grounds which may include:
• plumbing work
• electrical repairs
• lock repair & installation
• HVAC repairs
• furniture repair
• brush and spray painting
