Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Butler County Maintenance Organization, seeks a Maintenance Repairman 1 to keep buildings and grounds safe and functional. You will learn a variety of trades and support a team that relies on your attention to detail and hard work.

Typical duties include custodial tasks, grounds care, basic repairs, equipment operation, and following safety practices. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with travel and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance experience involving at least two trades (building, electrical, or mechanical).
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Custodial tasks: cleaning floors, furniture, lavatories, and trash removal.
• Grounds care: mowing, raking, landscaping, and snow removal.
• Basic repairs: simple carpentry, electrical, and plumbing fixes.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, motorized tools, and equipment.
• Follow safety practices, report hazards, and use protective equipment.
• Assist skilled workers, run errands, and complete tasks as directed.
