Job summary

The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and grounds at the North Dakota Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) in Bismarck. This is a working supervisor role reporting to the Physical Plant Director.

You will supervise staff, coordinate building and grounds upkeep, carpentry, HVAC, painting, plumbing, and equipment operation to ensure safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or lead-worker capacity required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 250 lb; valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and grounds at the AASF in Bismarck, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Perform building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and electrical repairs.
• Manage staff and contractors; coordinate ground maintenance such as mowing, trimming and landscaping.
