Job summary

PRWT Services in Virginia is seeking a maintenance associate to perform general upkeep, cleaning, and grounds maintenance under the Site Supervisor’s guidance. This full-time role operates on two shifts: 6 AM–2 PM and 2 PM–10 PM, with overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift 50–60 pounds, and prior maintenance experience is preferred. Responsibilities include cleaning, grounds care, and reporting repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Be able to lift 50–60 pounds (50 - 60lbs).
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend in-service training sessions, meetings, and out of town activities as required.
• Promote a positive work environment by treating staff and visitors with courtesy and respect.
• Maintain the restrooms and rest areas in a clean and sanitary condition, adding supplies as necessary.
• Maintain the foyer and reception area in a clean and sanitary state.
• Keep the storage area clean, neat, and secure.
• Report any necessary repairs.
• Sweep or hose down parking lot areas, sidewalks, and walkways each shift; keep walkways clear of snow and ice.
• Maintain grounds by raking leaves and mowing grass; care for shrubs and flowers, including mulching and weeding.
• Collect trash for receptacles and transport to the garbage bin as needed.
• Clean windows, countertops, and light fixtures; floors, doors, and water fountains at least once per shift.
• Replace light bulbs when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
